I am a 30 year resident of Elma where I reside with my wife Jackie. We have two children, Dean and Leigh who have been the beneficiaries of our great community and the opportunities they have been afforded. I am enthusiastic about our town and have brought innovative ideas to our town government together with fiscal responsibility and leadership qualities the past eight years as your elected official.

I graduated from the University at Buffalo with a bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance and have held several positions as a Senior Accountant, Controller, Treasurer, and Financial Advisor at privately owned corporations. My management experience, together with my accounting / finance background has enabled me to bring a balanced approach to town board business.

My commitment to our community, and the youth in particular, is evidenced by my active involvement in several educational, athletic, and church activities including Board of Directors of the EMW Boys and Girls Club, Elma Kiwanis, Treasurer of EMW Baseball and Football, Iroquois Athletic Booster Club, ICARE, Iroquois Foundation and EMW Executive Board. I have coached for several years in the EMW Baseball and EMW Football Organizations, and am an active member of ST. Vincent DePaul R.C. Church. Giving something back to our community so that our children will have the same opportunities as we had to raise and educate their children is very important to me.

My goals as councilman are to manage the communities’ resources, control residential and commercial growth focusing on the availability of town and school district services, and control tax rates while preserving Elma’s heritage. To that end I have been directly involved in several Town initiatives, i.e. Smart Growth, Conservation Board to help preserve green space, Senior Citizen Expansion, NYS Police Satellite Office, recycling to help to preserve our environment, consolidated Tax Receiver duties into Town Clerk’s office and maintained the tradition of NO General Town Tax.

I believe the entire community deserves to be heard and kept well informed of town issues. To this end, I intend to continue to be a “good listener”. I have consistently complied with the legal requirement for open government as mandated by New York States’ Open Meetings Law.

I have been honored to represent our great community as your Councilman the past 8 years and would like to ask for your support in giving me the opportunity to serve the town and its residents for a third term. I promise to work in your best interest “TO KEEP ELMA AS YOU KNOW IT”.
